What's your most prized City memorabilia ?

I had a moment of liberation many years ago when I gave away or sold nearly everything I had before departing all alone on a voyage around the world , I did ,however , keep my Notts County v City programme signed by God Taylor .

:worship2:

What is your most prized piece of City memorabilia ?

No memorabilia just memories, but those are the best as I can remember the good and forget the bad and not so good.

At my age that's no bad thing, as my memory isn't so good and  there is far less good to try and remember compared to the bad!

I have a signed denim shirt from the promotion squad of 1989, signed at the supporters club player of the year awards of that season. What an era that was.

When I was a mascott aged like 5/6. Still got all the stuff I was given. Photo with Tinnion and the team, signed ball, programme etc. Looks so dated compared to the club/stadium now. You can see in the photo background the Dolman has no 'front stand' just a brick wall. Gone are the days.

Bottle of promotion ale, a 77 style replica shirt signed by Norman Hunter, and a promotion shirt signed by the squad the Goater years. Also have one of Glyn Riley's old shirts.

oh, and a rosette I've had since about '66

I have a book on the history of the club, signed by Arthur Milton. My dad used to deliver his post in the early 80s and they became quite good friends. I have a vague recollection that Arthur was also a postman until retirement, but could be wrong.

Got a few bits I've managed to buy/obtain in person, a John Atyeo display, bought an old signed programme and mounted it up with a couple of photos and a plaque. A signed canvas of the 1986 Wembley team with Freight Rover,  sadly missing Glyn Riley and Steve Neville as they didn't attend the 25th anniversary dinner. Plus signed photos of the 1976 and 2015 teams.

I've still got the ticket stub from my first game 26th Oct 1996 v Notts County.

Son has a football signed by LJ and Gerks from years ago and also has a calendar from this year signed by most of the squad and a personally written and signed birthday card from Aden Flint. That has pride of place on his bedroom wall alongside his first game ticket stub.

I've got loads of City programmes that mean a lot to me - not just the ones from when I started going to games in the early 1980s but also ones from the late 50s onwards that my dad has given me. I've got a separate box with programmes from City away games I've attended (about 60 different grounds). Not worth much financially but brings back lots of memories.

I've had the same scarf since that wonderful night at Anfield in 1994 (again pinched from my dad) which has been with me at games all around the country - I'd hate to lose it.

I have the match programme from Sheffield United v City at Bramall Lane in 1958.

Autographed by all Sheff U and City players, the complimentary ticket stub given to me by the Sheffield United and England keeper, Alan Hodgkinson.

A very small group of us City fans were in a cafe outside the ground pre match with all of the Blades players and Hodgkinson got us all comps. He was England's keeper at that time.

On the train home we were sat with all the City players and Bert Tindill gave us a bottle of beer from the player's supply.

An away trip like that couldn't happen now. By the way we lost 4-0, Bob Anderson carried off with a back injury, no subs, at a Bramall Lane with only three sides used for football as it was also still used by Yorkshire Cricket as their main home ground.

PS. Understandably, I've had a soft spot ever since for the Blades, except when we play them.

This. Got 3 Williams seats too.

Turnstile not quite finished yet, but will take pride of place amongst the rest of my eclectic bits ;)

Love that!  I've also got some William's seats,  what have you done with yours? I'm hoping to turn mine into a bench when I get around to it.

This! Memories are all you need, long after the memorabilia has gone (probably sold...) the memories remain!!

Having said that, i have a brain like a sieve at times...

One's in France with my brother. The other two are in the garage awaiting repairs after I reversed into them! They'll then go up Muriel Jones - my allotment in Frome.

Stumbled across some more the other day. In the Victorian Arcade in Clifton. Christ almighty - what a mark up!

1. A matchball signed by the whole 1977-78 squad (including a good few bona fire City legends in amongst them)  by winning a penalty competition as an U-11 at Blackwell Athletic.

2. More a memory than memorabilia but being invited to Sunday lunch at Terry Cooper's house with Norman Hunter & Terry Cooper ( I was good mates with Terry's son Mark at primary school).

I've got two bottles of ale celebrating the 2000 Auto Windscreen's final.

A photo copy of the hand written official team sheet for the Everton FA Cup game from.the 98-99 season.

The edition of OTIB that was published with a green cover.

A shirt signed to me by Shaun Goater.

Got 06/07 and 07/08 shirts signed by the whole squads. I also remember Basso signing my gloves when I was younger, when he said it was god who told him which way to dive for a penalty save I told him I look in their eyes.

But it's gotta be this cheeky little training top. Love the green and the symmetry. Don't like wearing football tops apart from playing football but for this I make an exception. IMG_8844.thumb.JPG.6df6de76550c48c3e8be8508da34398c.JPG

Bob Taylor's autograph signed on a scrap of paper during a Tuesday reserves match - 'shouldn't you be at school' he asked, clocking my uniform.

A photo I took of the open end before it got knocked down.

A copy of the Bountyhunter, cover - Jacki juggling a ball.

Ticket stub to the old Den, (the Atteveld own goal game!)

All lurk somewhere in my parent's attic, would love to unearth them next trip to England, but fear they've been boxed alongside a collection of saucy magazines from the era :/

I've got

A bottle of Bristol City ketchup signed by Bradley Orr

2 signed canvases, one signed by Scotty, the other by Aden, both addressed to Dolly

Some of the streamers from the pitch the year we lost at the millennium stadium

Quite a few signed shirts

My award from when I won Supporter of the Year.

My two seats I bought from the East End and had fastened onto a frame so I can actually sit on them.

Think thats it. :)

Surely seats from the East end aren't meant to be sat on, rather stood in front of. Maybe stood on occasionally.

They're actually on the frame in their folded position, so I often stand in front of them, cos of where they are in the garden. Plus I end up standing on them if I'm looking into next doors garden hunting for the cats, so I'd say they're being used exactly as they should be ;)

If the kids next door score a goal, do you rush over to your garden fence to goad them?

Used to have a pair of JohnBaileysLottos, also used to have a pair of Louie Donowa's Diadoras and a pair of Dave Smith's Adidas, some Nibor shorts with the embroidered Robin and a pair of the purple and white socks from the original Purple and Lime Green Kit. Perks of having a good mate who was a trainee in that era. Used to go up to Redwood Lodge to use the facilities and if anyone asked, my name was Scott Partridge.

Unfortunately I went travelling and my mum binned the lot!
