Some made me laugh

My favourite City chant was a one off. Back in about 1977, Stanley Bowles wife had left him due to his gambling, I think, and it was in the papers etc. QPR were the visitors to the Gate that Saturday. The East End were chanting 'Where's your wife gone, where's your wife gone, where's your wife gone Stanley Bowles?' And did so again as QPR took a corner at that end, whereupon Bowles looked at the East End as they finished this chant and shrugged his shoulders. 

Unfortunately, I believe this was the same match where Bowles broke his leg towards the end of the game and was left on a trolley outside the turnstiles to the Open End as the stadium emptied at the end of the game.
