...we generally do quite well.

07/08 - Playoff finalists

97/98 - Promotion

87/88 - Playoff finalists

77/78 - Survival in old first division and Anglo-Scottish Cup winners

Yes, I know, stats don't mean owt but I'm just trying to take a bit of heat off of NeverToTheDarkSide after his "Barnsley have terrible opening day record" thread :)

**** sports psychology, lets just use reading tea leaves to decide the clubs fortunes.

What`s our record for when a year ends in a 9?:fear:

Nothing special in cup or league with the exception of 1909 - FA Cup Final.

We were both champions of the Western League and runners up in the Southern League in 1897/98 and how could you forget our 2nd place finish in Div 3S in 1937/38?! I’ll clutch at any straw!

Second in the old First Division, 1906/07, under our most successful manager - including the aforementioned Cup Final - Harry Thickitt.

Mind you 22A, when us City fans have to harp on about our halcyon days taking place before the Titancic set sail,  its sooooo sadly desperate.

That's why it's called the Long Term Strategy. Didn't you get the memo? :clapping:
