22A
Two questions reagarding Beer Festivals. 1: These events normal charge to get in and then it's normal pub prices when you are in. Why? Contrastingly, wine festivals charge to get in, but your first drink is free. 2: When these started people would attend to try beers that aren't usually available in that area. Now breweries such as Jennings in the Lake District and Sharps in Cornwall sell their beers nationally. That's pleasing, but now visitors to beer festivals attend specifically to get drunk. Why? That can be achieved at home.
Admin Maesknoll Red Posted September 12, 2017 Admin Report Share Posted September 12, 2017 1. Wine festivals usually aim to sell you wine before you leave and maybe the mark up is higher, also less wastage at the end, an open bottle with 2/3 left is nothing compared to a firkin with 2/3 left. 2. Still happens, plenty of new beers to try at festivals, including the one off's and specials. Getting drunk at home by yourself would be odd, probably make you a troubled soul, no real mates, only FB friends, having the craic with a few mates at a beer festival is fun, makes you gregarious and normal.......
