Big game this. O'Dowda doesn't start, but could be involved. Who does everyone want to win?

Ireland for me, no question.

Me too, unless by any chance Wales play the Sags, there’s no game I’d ever want them to win.

Mon the ROI.

It would be great to see odowda in the world cup. He will stand out in an otherwise ordinary RoI side. His value will sky rocket. Just look at the hype around Robson kanu off the back of that one goal at the euros

Are we sure he'd even get picked? Is he good enough to be starting, really? With Brady and McGeady in contention for places it'd be silly to just expect him to get games.

I don't have Sky but have discovered you can watch it on S4C live, via BBC iPlayer (even though S4C is presumably not BBC).

Its in Welsh of course! Except when Coleman is interviewed.

Was there huge hype..? He was out of contract and available for free for anyone who'd have him.

No surprise really given he did the full 90 v Moldova. With the players coming back I`d have been surprised if he had started.

Come on after 80 and get the winner would do!

I'd rather he saved such a rare occurrence for us..!

Have you tried the red button to select English commentary?  Don't know if there is sometimes on rugby they do it?

haha just saw you said iplayer not on telly.  I get it on freesat

Ah right! I was puzzled for a mo there. S4C doesn't seem to be on Freeview.

Nobody expected him to get a premium club before the tournament

I suppose so.

I doubt he'd have got one, if there had been a transfer fee involved.

Can't understand why they don't host massive games like this at the Millennium. It would have sold out for a game as big as this. Fans miss out on tickets and the Welsh FA miss out on money. Odd one.

Thought i read it was coleman's choice.

Is there a scenario of results that means that the 2nd place in this group fails to make the play-offs? Come on [insert one or more European countries here]!

Think croatia are one team neither want to win.

Interesting. I think CCS has become a bit of a fortress for them so I understand it to a point. But I'm still surprised to see a massive game being played in a 35k stadium with a 70k stadium sitting empty a few miles down the road.

Ireland have to win don't they? Presumably not playing for a draw - but only Wales seem to be trying to win.

If ireland can get to 70.mins at 0-0 they will be happy i expect.

I expect you're right - they've got their possession up to 25%!

I totally understand what you're saying. But with the smaller ground you do get a much more intense atmosphere. Which should help the players. Saying that I'm basing that on England. With the atmosphere at Wembley being probably the worst in football. When Wembley was being rebuilt and England played around the country. The atmospheres were much better. Sorry to go off topic

Real 50/50 at the moment, Wales most possession Ireland best chance...

Can't agree with that -Wales are outclassing Ireland, who look poor.

It's all well and good having the possession mate, but you've got to make Hay when the sun shines.

Yeah I do appreciate the counter argument and there's no doubting the atmosphere at CCS is incredible. It also disproves the theory that modern stadia make for crap atmospheres. But having said that, the Millennium is more intimate than Wembley and capable of generating phenomenal atmospheres too!

Looking on twitter a lot of the Wales supporters seem to have a bit of a superfan view about it - "if you didn't come when we were crap why should you come now". Never really liked that mentality. I would always rather see my team welcome more support, rather than behaving like some sort of exclusive club.

Very true  - and at 0-0 its level. Just didn't feel that 50/50 was a fair summary of the match, that's all.

With games like this I usually have to have a bet to generate some interest in it, especially with Calum not involved ATM.

It is fairly entertaining...

Ireland have had the best chance of the half.

And I'm technically half Welsh! But psychologically 95% English.

When the mines closed in Nailsea, my GGrand parents moved to Bargoid?!? So my Nan was born over there.

So you're as Welsh as Robson Kanu then.

I'm more Irish than Tony Cascarino as I've read the Barrytown trilogy.
