BCFC Rich Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Updates on injured players (source): Scans have revealed Korey Smith did not sustain a hamstring tear in Friday’s goalless draw with Burton Albion. The midfielder hobbled off on the stroke of half-time against the Brewers, with City fearful Smith could be set for a long injury layoff. However, Lee Johnson told BCTV today: “It’s good news as far as there’s no tear. “The scan has shown up an impingement in his hamstring, which could be a nerve issue, but at least it’s treatable.” The City boss was also able to offer up positive news about strikers Milan Đurić and Matty Taylor. He added: “Milan is making very good progress and will play for the Under-23s on Friday (versus Millwall at SGS, 7pm). “If he comes through that he could also be involved on Tuesday (versus Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup), and his return will give us a different option up top. “Matty Taylor has recovered from his ankle injury now and is available for selection.” Meanwhile, Eros Pisano is edging closer to a return after a knee problem. The Italian defender is taking parts in “two-thirds” of training now, just without contact.
Robin101 Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 So how long do we think Korey smith will be out for? Good news, though.
Hellfire Corner Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Injury update? I’ve got a slightly sore back!
wendyredredrobin Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Sounds like good news all round. Looking forward to seeing Milan again as I haven't seen too much of him. We really seemed to miss Korey when he went off against Burton and will be nice to see Matty back in contention too.
1960maaan Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Going to be interesting to see how LJ copes with everyone fit up top. FD and Reid with Đurić, Taylor, Woodrow fighting for the bench. Not to mention Leko, COD and Eliasson going for one wide place.
