Had he been managed with more subtlety and a with a supportive pat on the back rather than being dropped we'd have seen more top performances from him.

But you fully endorse the decision to ship out Tomlin, yeah? Maybe it was a similar situation. Or maybe he just preferred the nightclub to the training ground ;)

Or maybe DN was a popular and active member of a tight-knit and successful squad, whereas LT was (latterly) a disruptive influence and, for all parties concerned, better 'shipped out'.

It's about form. We have a lot of players in form as we did then. 

Can we maintain the form that the 08 team couldn't is the question and even if we can will it be enough for top 6 or even top two. 

I see this season as a huge opportunity not only in the league. If we can keep fit and form going into the QF Man U won't fancy it.
