Very impressive attendance. Fair play

Higher attendance than 3 of the EFL tropy matches played last night,  and only 50% fewer than the 5 divisions higher Gas in their local derby against Yeovil!!!

Good atmosphere last night helped by some noisey Slough fans, good luck to them in the next round.

Another run towards Wembley starts on Saturday with a game against Paulton in the FA Trophy.

This comment just shows how little fans know about non league football ...

There were 500 at the Creek ...

Then this comment: "If just 10% of the crowd would come again that would be huge for the club."

Their average crowd is 230 ...

If 10% of the 350 new faces did turn up on a regular basis it would be great for the club. We average around 140 at the moment so to be getting 550 odd last night was brilliant.

1. There were 500+ at The Creek.

2. A 10% increase on any club's gate is a big improvement.

What are you struggling with here?

It shows how little you know of it more than anything. I've been going down there on and off for 17 years and have seen games where the crowd was under 30.

Even 5 years or so ago their average wouldnt have been much more than 70-80.

They are currently in their most successful spell ever, and made national papers a few years ago when they scored 20 goals in 4-5 cup games which helped bring new fans.

Last season was their first ever at Southern League level, and they are playing bigger clubs than ever before, meaning the away fans that come are far higher than they normally would have seen, which helps increase their average.

If 10% of the people there yesterday who dont normally go become semi regular then that is big for the club. Their average would then go from 230 to 260+, that's just under a 1/7 increase.

It is also then more potential future fans. If one of those returnees brings a mate, or their kids etc.
