Starting to find his feet at this level and another goal tonight...anyone think we should have rolled the dice on him given the strong interest?

weimann also looking like he is maybe falling down the pecking order after a promising start

Think he had his heart set on derby , not sure we ever had a realistic chance of singing him.

The bloke proved that he’s a quality finisher in the lower leagues, question was whether he was worth the money in the summer due to the fact that he may get less chances in the championship due to better defences. So far he has proved that he can cut it at this level but will reserve judgement until the end of the season as to whether we missed out.

In terms of Weimann, apart from the chance at West Brom (where he was 1v1 and should’ve lobbed the keeper to put us 1-0 up), I can’t think too many clear cut chances that he’s missed during his baron spell. Maybe he’s not getting the service or he’s not taking up the right positions but the bloke doesn’t even look like scoring at the moment, hope he gets back to scoring ways soon, hopefully get some confidence back too, needs one to go in off his arse (bit like at Swansea haha).

Big Chelsea fan and grew up watching Lampard, as soon as he found out Derby were interested his mind was set.

All strikers have tough patches, Wiemann is quality and will find his form and get back amongst the goals soon. Eisa is pretty much an unknown at this level, but I really hope he takes to the championship, would be an amazing piece of business if he does.

As regards Marriott, he chose Derby so lets forget about him. They have to get up or their constant spending could bite them on the arse.

This.

Too many people think because we were in for someone, we made a huge mistake by not signing them when they go elsewhere. He probably got a bigger signing on fee, bigger wages and probably an overall better contract. Regardless what he does elsewhere, it doesn't mean he would have done the same here.

When last season he scored a hat trick at the Mem, perhaps City thought "Only 3 versus the gas? Can't be that good then"!

He did earlier in his career. He then carried on playing centre forward at Rangers where he hit form in the Scottish second tier. But at Ipswich he played many games right wing, and he's carried on doing so for Derby from what I've seen. His best performances for Ipswich seemed to be when on the right wing too. I think he scores more from out there than he does through the middle.

Really? Or do you mean Luton?

Marriott is now history, if he doesn't want to come south to Bristol.........it's his loss. It seems apparent that if Eisa isn't ready for regular goalscoring duty yet, we will need to buy/loan in Jan, any suggestions or ideas? Is there another Tammy type prepared to come South? ?
