In a way Solskjær can't lose, cos if he messes it up he can point to the train wreck that Mourinho left. If he does well then his reputation rises. Man Utd can lose though in this situation. If Solskjær does very well, do they stick or twist? If he does bad or worse, then the club will be in a tricky place to attract top talent (players and manager), so big risk for Man Utd, not for OGS.

Amazing isn't it, reward total incompetence by giving him the biggest job in football..

Solskjaer confirmed as interim manager. Risky business after his Cardiff stint, but I think the bigger announcement is Mike Phelan returning with him. Been there and done it with Fergie.

Very risky.

Ole wasn't just a terrible PL manager, he was a terrible Championship manager too! How many other managers with his record would get a job at Man U?

Perhaps LJ was right when he said PL clubs don't want English managers but will appoint anyone foreign.

Think people are overlooking the fact that if Ole wasn't a Utd player and probably liked by the higher ups at Utd because of it then he wouldn't be anywhere near the job, that and he won't rock the boat till the end of the season. Think if he weren't Wales manager Giggs would have got the role, Keane is probably a bit of a forceful personality to come in even short term. Ince would probably just claim it was racist he didn't get the job full time, Steve Bruce? haha. Laurent Blanc would have been an interesting one.

Just read that Utd were the only team in the premier league and (more than likely all if not almost all) championship to not use GPS tech after Jose scrapped it.

'The Portuguese manager preferred his fitness staff, led by Carlos Lalin, to monitor fitness and load using intuition rather than data'

The reporter who grabbed a few words yesterday was explaining earlier that when first filmed , the cameraman walked backward into a lamppost and broke the camera and footage

Jose agreed to re-do / reenact the filming and questions

Fair play

was it this one? I was waiting for someone to walk into a lamp post a la Rowan Atkinson! :laughcont:
