Missed Chances in the First Half

Tend to agree but if it stayed at 11 v 11 would there ever have been a goal.  It is purely hypothetical but I believe it had 0 0 written all over it and then helmets on time.   At least it was entertaining  playing 9 men

As I saw it ,, 11 Vs 11 they had the best chances, Maenpaa made a couple of decent saves.
11 Vs 10 , it was an even game for that short time.
11 Vs 9 we finally started to dominate a little, but by that time we had lost a bit of shape by throwing wingers and strikers on.

It was entertaining for the last 15/20 as we could dominate possession without too much fear of being caught on the break, it was only the last part of that we started trying to make angles on the edge of the box instead of throwing in cross after pointless cross.

Yep I highly doubt we would have got a goal, every away side comes and sits back especially in the 2nd half so instead of 9 men behind the ball we would have faced 11 behind the ball.

We had our fair amount of chances but lacked any real finishing quality.

I didn't think they sat back at all, until they lost the second man I thought they gave it a good go. I really didn't expect them to play like that.

I can't comment, between the 1st and second man going off I was in the toilet, was surprised to find out another had gone.

For the last 15 mins they did camp in their box.

Definitely , when they were down to 9 they struggled to get out more than a couple of times.

Apart from being offside

He wasnt.

He wished he was afterwards though, he kept checking with the lino.

Horrendous miss from a player hopelessly out of form. And so shot of confidence he didnt even have the bottle to take a corner so called Eliasson over to do it!!

Fair enough if I was wrong about offside must have been thinking of a different time. Don't blame him for calling over Eliasson though, he's the supposed dead ball specialist in the team.

One of our strengths this year is our corners. In CoD and Eliasson we have two excellent corner takers. Just a shame we haven't got a Flint type of player anymore.

I got severely cheesed off that we kept chipping straight balls into the box, Pack and Pato the worst culprits...it was hopeful at best. Ajayi and Robertson gobbled them all up....meat and drink type balls to defend.

Yep, Ajayi found himself at inside-right, and strode forward a couple of times.

If he’s still at Rotherham at the end of the window I'd be surprised.  Looked very good each time I’ve seen him.  Didn’t know he was ex-Charlton, nor Arsenal prior to Cardiff.

Vaulks also impressive (not just long throws).  A good pick-up from Falkirk....only 25 too.

Sorry, can't agree CoD is an excellent dead ball taker. Yesterday they were all over the place. Too long, didn't clear first man, misdirected.
