Possibly a bit OTT for one goal. What can we do for the scorer of the promotion clincher? Colston Hall up for renaming - might upset the blue few, but they don't do culture.

Well, if it`s Matty Taylor then nothing we could do could top that. There would be clouds of steam from boiling piss over Horfield for months!

Don’t think it’s about just 1 goal though.

Isn’t his stats this season something like played / appeared in 7 games and we’ve won 6 and drawn 1, with only 2 conceded, or something like that.

He certainly seems to be present in the team when we perform well.

Just one defeat (league only), v Boro when playing LB.

This is why I find it strange that we try to squeeze Bailey Wright into the team when we have a specialist available.  I appreciate that BW is captain and has dropped down the pecking order at CB.  I do think he is a great squad player, committed to the cause and a good Championship central defender but he’s not a right back. I’m hoping Pisano keeps his place tomorrow night.

Yep agreed. I would have Eros in at right back tomorrow night. Not negative on him at all. Wouldn't be the first Italian to bring glory to Bristol. Like to see the Pisano sailing through the harbour.

Came in when Eros unwell before Swansea, and I think LJ is rewarding those with the shirt....and giving consistency of selection.

I would prefer Eros at RB, but Bailey not let anyone down.

Absolutely.

Pisano is head and shoulders above Wright at full back and at least his equal at centre back.

Exactly. This season and last I've had no complaints with Bails filling in at RB when needed, always does us proud

Not sure about that.

He's done his best, but he is liable to get skinned as he did on saturday several times, got booked and likely to get booked again against a player he couldn't handle. Not his fault as he aint a full back and never will be.

Pisano is an experienced full back that, imo, would have that player in his pocket.

Remember Martial getting past him early on last season, but he never repeated it.  Let’s not forget Bailey probably still not 100% match sharp having been out all season.

He’s capable at RB, and we are lucky to have options.  Not sure it’s as simple as saying Pisano would’ve had EFL Champ Player of the Month Adam Armstrong in his pocket.  I’ve always liked Eros, but I don’t think he would’ve had the easy afternoon you suggest.  Also prone to a cynical foul and picking up yellows too!

Always prone to a cynical foul but not necessarily picking up a yellow for it.

Wright was in trouble saturday picking up a yellow because he couldn't cope and liable to pick up a second, imo Pisano would have coped...easily. He is an experienced full back and totally comfortable at this leve and I fail to see why Wright is in the side as a full back in front of an experienced career full back. Seems to me that LJ is just shoe horning Wright into the team and that is wrong imo.

But thats just opinion not fact ?

I feel that when we have the luxury of a capable specialist right back why not play him rather than a central defender out of position.  Whilst we are tinkering why not drop DeSilva and put Baker at left back?  We wouldn’t do it as desilva is a specialist LB and playing well.  Appreciate BW had the shirt but they did drop Pisano after the forest game when he was well enough for the bench and said to anyone who asked him that he was fit to play.  It’s not a criticism of BW or LJ but I do feel LJ wanted his captain back in the team, which may be the right thing to do and RB is the only way this can happen.

Sure this is out there somewhere but isn’t Eric (sic) out of contract in the summer?

Yes, unless there is a one year option that’s not been made public.

His wife made a cryptic tweet a while back that could be construed to mean the club weren’t going to extend him....or not earlier this season anyway.

I think he’s done enough to earn another year personally. But could block Vyner’s pathway....although I don’t think he’s a RB.

When he was left out I think it was the concern if playing multiple games in a short period of time, and then a slight strain ahead of the cup match. Wonder if he might come in tonight?
