That’s fine mate I think he is a similar position to you , without being stereotypical

Either of you, feel free to DM me any questions, or post on here if not sensitive....but @Dollymarie is right, Gareth Torpy is your man at the club.  His email is gareth.torpy@bristol-sport.co.uk if you want official answers.  He’s good as gold.

Evening all. I attend games with my son and he is now classed as disabled. I know there was a carers ticket at one time. Does anyone know if this still exists and what proof I would need to show to get one (assuming it still exists), is a DLA award letter sufficient? Thanks in advance

Yes mate

True.  I can't remember what they did last year, whether they announced the prices early or not?

I remember the shit storm though!

We were advised of pricing on Wednesday 28th February https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/201819-season-card-prices-announced/

They went on sale on Monday 5th March https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/201819-season-cards-on-sale-now/

Was announced first thing too if I remember correctly!

I thought I saw on Twitter announced later this week prices and details. With current season holders able to buy from next week.

And members later on in March I'm assuming and general sale after

Lose your seat by the 18th March this time.

Only one pay day in between. Fortunately wont affect me but not ideal for many others.

No, agreed, it’s a small window.

Just the one pay day then from which to draw upon.  Really thought they would have stretched the protected period for existing SC holders to two months.  I understand the arguement that we could have saved across the year but this isn't all that realistic.  Looks like the credit card will be taking a hammering.

Great price in South Stand again.

It IS very good considering the chance that we could be a Premiership team next year.

Does this seasons reward balance transfer to next years? Still haven't spent my £10 plus additional rewards..

I don’t think it does. I thought the £10 on the card runs out 31st March, but I could be wrong, someone will probably remember. I don’t know about any additional rewards, I would imagine the card is wiped clean

Nominal increase. Can’t grumble too much, other than I think it’s ridiculous to have the deadline before a 2nd pay day period.

Doesn’t bother me personally, but must make it hard for many.

I really think, with that in mind, that people should be able to secure their seat with a 50% deposit, with balance due in April, without any extra charges.

Not everybody wants an extra Direct Debit of £40/50 a month going out, so they should help out those who want to pay it in 1 or 2 payments, imo.

Literally agree with every point you've made.

3% is not a bad increase. Wish they’d have done a 3-5% increase across the board last year though. Mine has gone up 75 quid in two years. I had my moan last year however so 3% is fair but much more may have to consider moving which would be a great shame.

Yep, all you need is your DLA award letter. Any probs ring supporters services and ask to speak to Gareth Torpy who is the person responsible for sorting out disabled fans issues.

I’m sure you are right Dolly but it doesn’t actually say you get a free ticket if required on the official site where as it always has before. Hopefully just an oversight or I have missed it!!

I'm new to the whole season ticket scene too.

Currently have forever Bristol

Shift work usually prevents me from going 2 weekends a month and midweek night games.

Manage to sort this out in readiness for next season. And always take annual leave if needs be so decided to plump for a season ticket next season and likewise my friend has also.

Someone posted earlier in the year suggesting that the club facilitated a way of transferring the £10 to CHSW. I think a method was posted on the OS but maybe it would be worth this being announced again. @Matt Parsons BCFCSLO

Surprised they haven't offered a chance for the odd free rugby ticket as one of the perks.

Might be a case of not enough people taking advantage of it in previous years to make the admin worthwhile.

Not sure it's ever specifically mentioned as a perk? Think it's probably covered by this line:

Agreed elhombrecito.  Last season I think they mentioned a ticket will be available for an upcoming game and there was at least 2 opportunities.

Going forward I suspect they now feel they don't have to mention it but I'm sure the chance of a free rugby game for at least 1 game will arise every season from now onwards.  I would also hope for the occasional buy a ticket for a tenner type deals for more appealing rugby premiership games that are never going to sell out.

Copied from info on the Bristol Sport Rewards page:

"the Does my Rewards cash expire at any point?

Yes your Rewards cash will expire on Friday, May 31st 2019"

Can’t see anywhere where the cut off is for the different age brackets?

I think it’s the maximum age (e.g. 19 for an under 19).

At least I’ve been using an under 19 card at since I turned 19 in December...

Nice to hear new people getting STs. Do you get any priority at all as a member? Is there a graphic on the OS that shows what is taken at the moment? People do change and move their seat, so I would hope you could get one in the SS.

They may still change their minds if Johnson has one of his runs and we plummet!

Is there no extension of the standing section then? Big mistake that if so.

Really?

It’s not always full anyway and I doubt all of the fans in the block next to it would be happy if they had to move to incorporate it.

Its fine as it imo

Been wanting to get one for a few years but being at uni and then working weekends has stopped me! Members season tickets go on sale three days before gen sale

Yeap. That was me.

I have emailed the club twice to ask them to confirm that they have deducted the tenner from my card, but never had an answer.

Seems to be a genuine lack of outrage on here about the ticket prices.

I was expecting SCENES of some description, they usually follow any announcement by the club, closely followed by some sort of witch hunt to find out which supporters group had any input in to this pricing decision.

Frankly OTIB, I'm disappointed in all of you.

Who cares if the price rise is reasonable? Start the moaning. Please.

It's done on the same principle as school years, or at least it was on STs for this season. My lad is not 13 until the end of March, but we had to get him an U19 ticket for this year as he will be over 12 by the end of August cut off point.

Hope that makes sense...

Would be nice if the club moved the deadline to renew until the start of April without the threat of losing your seat. One pay day to find £3/4/500 to me shows the club is a little out of touch with parts of its fan base. @Matt Parsons BCFCSLO

Just playing devil's advocate, but I would imagine the club have the thought process of, 'it roughly this time of year, every year, so people will be saving for it'.

That said, I fully agree that they could manage this a bit better and say earlier that 'we expect season tickets to go on sale in March, prices TBC',  they could probably announce that months in advance.

Same time every year give or take a few weeks. Not hard to save up for it if you know roughly when it's going to be.

I think the idea of a deposit, with the balance to be paid by April, is great.

@Matt Parsons BCFCSLO If you need an argument to put to the commercial team, just point out that you'd get at least a small amount of people default on the balance, therefore be able to sell the Season Tickets again, and get a free £99.

I believe you have to be under the age at the start of the season to qualify- so the coming season you'd be moving up a bracket.

The date they go by is your age on 31st July or 1st August I think.

I am pretty sure it was 1st August for this season.
