Match facts

  • Preston are unbeaten in their last 11 league games against Bristol City (W8 D3), winning each of the last six in a row.
  • Bristol City haven't won away at Preston in league competition since February 2011 (4-0), failing to win on each of their five such trips since (D2 L3).
  • Preston are unbeaten in eight Championship matches (W5 D3 L0), the longest current run in the division.
  • Bristol City have lost each of their last two Championship matches since winning seven in a row between December and February.
  • Since his league debut for the club in November 2013, Paul Gallagher has assisted 53 league goals for Preston - 36 more than any other player in that time.
  • Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has lost nine matches against Preston North End in all competitions - three more than he's ever lost against any other side during his managerial career.

The highlighted one has to be wrong doesn't it? No other player has managed more than 17 assists over 5 1/2 years?

That must be just for Preston though.  Still impressive, but not really reflective of anything other than their own team.

Aye, I realised that on reflection, but it was too late to delete the thread by then!

Maybe reflects the high turnover of players at Preston?

Just had a quick look at the table, if not exactly a must win almost certainly a must not lose, yes I know there are plenty of games left blah! blah! but for our confidences sake alone it would do our league position a power of good, a real 6 pointer.

Not a 6 pointer but good not to lose.

Re stats surely Kilkenny made 50 assists on his own - if you believed his self propoganda!

That was Kilkenny's position in the team - pointer!

Never disliked a City player as much as Kilkenny in all my years of spectating, and that's saying something considering some of the duffers we have had at times. His only ever decent contribution was the goal he scored against Leeds, which cemented their similar feelings about him. Apparently he found his spiritual home at Preston....
