Weimann- A Worthy heir to Reid of last season?

Now. Brilliant win today, this guy was the match winner today? He's not identical but definitely see some similarities.

In a 3-5-2, his role differs a tad to Reid of last season but I think he can be the heir. Yes it's only how many goals, 10?

Throw in assists though, his 3 disallowed goals not all of which were right and maybe through the middle post his match winning display, his form can reignite!

Credit to LJ too- switching to the 3-5-2 from the start- away to a side in such good form, who excel with the back 3?

Even though we know we can play that way, it was brave- and it paid off in spades!! Full marks to him for the substitutions as well, went for it and the changes made at the right time.

Am still taking it one game at a time- but was a great start, the best possible- to what is basically 10 Cup finals.

3 4 2 1. Central role = key.

Only added in assists tonight on my iPad...needs a bit of formatting that is hard work without a mouse.

Brilliant spreadsheet that!

Dave- have you considered WhoScored- it lists position to game, plus each one individually?

Can be tricky to access on mobile internet though. IPad? Dunno.

Still a bit spurious imho....today as AMC!

As Winston Wolfe says in Pulp Fiction: "Let's not start sucking each other's dicks yet!"

Very early days to be proclaiming Weimann "the answer".

But it's been obvious to most fans here - and at Derby before - that his best position is not as a wide man.

If today cements that in Lee's mind, it'll be worth more than 3 points.

Different types of Wideman of course. He is best through the middle yes, but he can play along the front line- a strength but also a weakness if deployed all over.

RM/RW he's not- but he performed an important role for the team in that alien position. Goal, 3 assists and let's not forget that 3 goals disallowed, all of them tight. Not bad!
