I don’t think it helped that we kind of expected to walk it. The only time I’ve gone to Wembley/Cardiff with City and actually expected to win

You can add the Carlisle game to that, never thought we wouldn't win.

Sunderland won't be pleased, they were hoping to get the cup and league double, as they have three games in hand on the top team. As I said in a previous post, only City has done that.

Didn't Birmingham do it before us?

You are correct Southstandoriginal - Birmingham were champions of league one and winners of the football league trophy in 1995 .....

Went today. Up there with the best game I've ever watched in my life.

Almost 90K

2 sets of proper supporters

No corporate *******

End to end blood and guts football

Absolutely deafaning noise, ground was genuinely was shaking at times.

1 minute of applause for Bradley Lowrey that was very emotional

Limbs

Super Brett

120 minutes + Penos

ENGLISH football at its finest

I had my photo with Pompey John

Genuine "tell your kids about that ame" ... brilliant day

I was really disappointed with the atmosphere when we won it a few years ago - apart from the twirling of the scarves at the end it was as flat as a pancake all game. Too many daytrippers I guess although that would’ve been the case today too.

Day trippers yes (me) flat as a pancake?absolutely not. Incredible noise fron both fans

Birmingham did it before us. Carlisle & Grimsby have won the trophy and promotion, but not as Champions.

One of my regrets from that day was going for view over atmosphere.

Sat in the top tier on the half way line watching lots of ants chase a pea around some grass whilst day trippers were glued to their phones around me.

If I were to go again I'd be behind the gaol every time

The view would be shit, behind all those bars, barbed wire and walls.
