Have to say looking at that side tonight, it looks like a team of passengers. Good footballers of course but no real leaders who could push us on.

Hopefully the young lads do the business.

We are not streetwise at all. Charlton are disruptive when we have the ball and at set pieces and in comparison we look a bit timid.

Upfront you can see just how much we're missing the pace and movement of Afobe.  Semenyo for Rodri at HT.  Semenyo not quite good enough, just yet.

Shame, but it hasn't really worked for him at this level yet.

It's too soon.

Hope Rodri is decent.

People moan about Fam's all round game, but Semenyo on that showing isn't fit to lace Fam's boots!!

To be fair it was a very dull half, but if Semenyo has not gone out on loan to League 1 by 1st February, then we've had a terrible window!!

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but surely it would have made more sense to retain Taylor and send Semenyo out on loan?

I suppose the argument is that, assuming Afobe had stayed fit, Taylor would have been less satisfied with more bench-warming than Semenyo.

Semenyo is our only player qualified as home grown so has to be on the bench

Another half of Semenyo and COD doing absolutely jack shit. Bored of seeing it.

Agreed, don't get Semenyo at all. Not really sure what he is, doesn't get in the box enough for a striker and doesn't appear to be a link player either. O'Dowda doesn't even try to make space or an angle for a pass, always hides behind a defender. Very very poor.

Semenyo is there on the ‘ homegrown ‘ ticket .

With hindsight, perhaps it would have been more prudent to keep Morrell or O'Leary/Wollacott.

I appreciate it would stifle their development but it doesn't seem to be doing Semenyo much good at the moment.

I hope he proves me wrong.

Imagine being Eliasson. Semenyo keeps getting all these chances and you get a couple of a assists and all the attacking play goes through you, yet you get dropped.

Also, last home game we looked really decent first half v Reading, with Eliasson providing the cross assist to Fam. That was something to build on.

It’s the same trick with elliasson though as well. Get the ball, step over , cut inside , cross. Needs a lot more to his game to get regular starts imo
