Gillies Downs Leeds
See Sunderland are heavily linked with Bobby Duncan, ex Liverpool youngster. Currently at Fiorentina. Can't see them getting 2 strikers in, although Will Grigg is supposedly off.
Up The City!
So Wells is effectively Semenyos replacement, so we are still left with the same numbers up front. We need one more if Semenyo goes.

I think we’ll want to be assured of Bentley remaining over the summer, before letting Niki go. Could be interest in Bents.

I suspect that Wollacott will be on the bench as cover, but if anything was to happen to Bentley that would mean him missing a game then it'll be Maenpaa who'd start. LJ wanted 4 strikers. With Afobe getting injured that left us with 3. Loaning out Semenyo and bringing in Wells still leaves us one short. There has to be another lined up if Semenyo is going out. I think it's clear for anyone to see that Semenyo is far from ready for Championship football, the fact Rodri was seen as an upgrade on him says it all... One for the future, not for the here and now.

One for the future, not for the here and now. Disagree with “far from ready”. He did well enough in the back-to-back games away versus two of the better sides in this division - Preston and Brentford. But LJ can’t give him minutes over Weimann and Diedhiou (and now Wells). Did think it was poor re using Rodri as sub over Xmas though.
Mr Popodopolous
Weimann, Diedhiou, Wells- and maybe even in the last 10-11, Afobe? Don't think we need another tbh.

elhombrecito
Antoine Semenyo has completed a loan move to Sunderland for the remainder of the campaign. The Academy product heads north to the Stadium of Light in search of regular League One game time, where he will link up with fellow Robins loanee Bailey Wright. Head Coach Lee Johnson said: “This is a great loan move for Antoine. He has progressed through the ranks at Bristol City and it’s now about getting him regular minutes in a competitive league to take him to the next level. “Sunderland is a club that is rich in history and they regularly get big crowds in at the Stadium of Light, so it’ll be a fantastic learning experience for Antoine. “We will keep a close eye on him and we look forward to watching his progression throughout the rest of the season.” The 20-year-old has made 11 appearances for Lee Johnson’s side this season in all competitions. gordie
Semenyo should never have come back last season, he was doing well out on loan getting invaluable experience and came back to a lot of hype when he wasn’t ready for it. Imho should have been left on loan for the season then put out to a 1st div club this season and if he was still doing well brought back now.
