Potential Breakthroughs for Green Energy.

I saw this today and I see it as another step to that "greener world" that people want. This one is a material that will allow Hydrogen and other gases to be stored at low pressure, reducing the need for large tanks for long journeys in Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles. The HFC is the preferred option for some car manufacturers, particularly Toyota as it requires less rare metals than electric cells, reducing the indirect environmental impact. This could be a big step.

It made me think of a few other thing that scientists are developing that should help the amount of scepticism that a green world is achievable. Here are another two that have cropped up recently that are also making big changes.

Along with Elon Musk making the Tesla Battery storage technology, "open source" I think these are all steps in the right direction.

Does anyone have any more interesting developments they have seen in the news?

We have one of the greatest untapped sources of green energy sitting in the River Severn and Bristol Channel.  Amazing that we haven't yet found a realistic way to use it.

I totally agree, the issue apparently is "silting", every rise and fall of tide generates tonnes of the stuff. The last plan I saw they had what looked like giant wind turbines under water, which seemed a good way around it, but no one seems to want to invest in the solutions on offer.
