It has now been announced they will go ahead starting on Tuesday September 1st.However, the rounds will not be two weeks apart, meaning not just the first will be played in mid week. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020–21_FA_Cup As in previous seasons, there will be places for 736 participating clubs. In a statement issued to clubs on Friday, the FA revealed it is oversubscribed, with 889 applications received.
