Sweeneys Penalties
after the pantomime we (apparently) had trying to sign Eddie Nketiah, how come Swindon find it so darned easy? https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/18657142.town-sign-arsenal-midfielder-matt-smith-loan/
RedRoss
Bit of a different standard of player though ain't it? Also we can't do much more if the player doesn't want to come. The situation is chalk and cheese apart.
Phileas Fogg
Probably because of competition. With Nketiah we were competing against Leeds and then the prospect of playing for Arsenal’s first team. Relatively easy choice for EN to make in that situation. Numero Uno
Presumably because they didn't have Leeds gazumping them...........

Totally different scenarios. If you want a stick to beat someone with, you'll go out of your way to find one.

I just figure Arsenal would be interested in the progression of all of their youngsters regardless of the quality involved. Carry on throwing bricks at my head if you wish. BristolJoe
Speaking of Arsenal loanees - Folarin Balogun, 19 yr old striker looks like he could have a very bright future (wasn't Tammy 18/19 when we loaned him?)... Absolutely no idea if there is appetite on Arsenal's side to loan him out... Also would be a big gamble if he were part of any strategy to cover off the (potential) loss of Fam... All completely unfounded speculation haha but looks like he could be a really hot future prospect... Just googled an update - could be in line for an £8m move to Brentford. Mad Cyril
It is annoying that Swindon can get their hands on young talent when we can't. The extra fingers give them an unfair advantage.
