Coventry are doing the basics very well. Closing down when they're out of possession, playing their game with confidence. Wish the same could be said for us

Opening five minutes of the second half have really highlighted how little time Coventry give us when we have the ball and in contrast how much time we give them.

Disappointing and Coventry are playing just as I'd like to see City play and that fast paced possession play suits our players.   

The worry is whether the side is just having very early teething problems or whether they have ben instructed to play hoofball.  City have the players to play like Coventry but if they are told to hoof it then we will see players with skill look scared to hold on to it and there will be a repeat of last season.

It's far too early to judge and we need to see a few games and get our new signings playing alongside the likes of Morrell and Walsh in.  

Let's hope the first half is just early nerves with some wrong selections etc. but, if we continue to see disjointed play with a poor version of Neil Warnock tactics over a number of games, then go get Mark Robins if he'd come.

Dean said he wanted to see forward passing and that's been done throughout the first half with aimless aerial clearances to the opposition.   Disappointing but too early to judge if this hoofball is Dean's preferred style or 'identity'.
