Numero Uno
Anyone who posts on here regularly will know my strong view that Holden isn’t the underlying problem at the moment. HOWEVER today was rank bad management no two ways about it. We are playing on an absolute pudding of a pitch so surely you have to work out where the grass in the pitch is, ie wide areas and pick an eleven that is most suited to getting the ball wide so that you can lump the bastard thing into the box. That is the only way to play on a pudding and the ONLY times we did it Fam was a whisker away and Mawson hit the target. Totally obvious yet the management team seemed happy for us to try and play round the corner balls into a ******* mud heap up the centre of the pitch. TomThumb84
To get corners, normally, they materialise from sustained or sporadic passages of attacking play, resulting in the defending side having to concede one in order to defend their goal. This is why we do not get corners.
ralphindevon
3.5 hours of football since our last one apparently. Bizarre!

Proves how much time we spend in our own half - when we do progress to the half way line we give the ball away cheaply.

I managed a team that played 3.5 hours of football without winning a corner. Wow, that’s a bad statistic and he’s our manager!
Mr Popodopolous
The thing about lumping it into the box though, didn't strike me as a tactic that would have troubled Derby all that much.
Better Red
Seymenyo can’t go past a man on the outside. Neither fullback look like they want to overlap. The midfield never go beyond the front 2. The reason we don’t get goals is we never go beyond the opposition fullbacks. We are a bang average team who at the moment who are not great to watch. Lansbury,Williams and Pato will improve us. Also think Edwards could get some game time over Seymenyo. He’s pace could get us up the pitch more then Seymenyo does. When we had Albert his ability to take us up the pitch made such a difference. Same when Scotty was playing. A bit of extra pace would help this team.
