Ska Junkie
Probably one for the elders amongst us but I've just heard Ian 'Tuba' Horrell has passed away. A fixture at every game, home and away, for years and a great laugh. RIP Tuba, sleep well pal.

Tin Soldier
Sad news, Tuba and Ronnie usually came as a twosome on away days. They will be having a right laugh looking down on us. Real characters sadly lost. RIP Tuba.

E.J.Thribb
I’ve only just heard the news myself. Knew Ian from the two of us being admins on a Facebook group, absolutely gutted to hear of his passing.
GrahamC
Saw the little plaque on the side of the Barley Mow earlier with the City crest on it but didn’t realise it was for him, I didn’t know him by name. He absolutely was one of the faces of the early 80s for me, with Angus, Ronnie, Milton, Graham Alker & several others who like Tuba, that I didn’t know by their actual name. A proper die hard red, I saw him all around the country following the club. RIP, big man.

Sad news indeed, always up for a laugh , plenty of away days memories through later 70’s and 80’s , at times was a brake to keeping Ronnie out of even more ‘scrapes ‘ , RIP Tuba

Tin Soldier
Takes you down memory lane when someone passes who you knew from the football Think it was Bolton away in the 80s when the police horse stood on Tubas foot? My memory ain’t brilliant I might be wrong but pretty sure it was Tuba. Always had a smile on his face.

weepywall
Sadly it seems to be an all too common occurrence to hear of City fans from a certain era leaving us, great characters, been to the top and all the way to the bottom following City. RIP.
