And we held a few parties in The East End .. The 70s and 80s were good times for the Gas .. then you got your act together. . Again I'm no hooligan but was around then .. We even joined up with you lot on a fair few occasions. . We'd be met by your lot and escorted into The East End by your lot .. Yep .. unbelievable but true .. Millwall .. Man Utd .. Those 2 games back in the day were attended by us .. plus a few times against you in the Gloucester Cup .. so when I hear these stories about City back in the day about taking the Tote End I always sigh .. I heard different from a gas supporting uncle mate. Despite the fact i hate and cringe and fans giving it the biggun and only go to footy for that, i was under tge impression rovers had a shit mob who always took a beating against city but then i wasnt around at the time. I also find it cringey the amount of wannabes at rovers who only go away for the image and pretend they get involved in the fighting. Even at the JPT there was a bit of a brawl with fans not neccassarily hooligans but of course rovers claimed it was the city firm and claimed they took over the cross hands a family pub . Just another thing rovers claim they have up on us.

Cup Match where the entire centre of the Tote End celebrated by invading the tulip beds behind the goal. Can't recall the year but segregation was introduced in the 70's and that year only a few City, including me, went in the Tote just before kick off. To be fair we were off it pretty sharpish. With Man U, you were tolerated in the East End - just not the centre blocks :-)

Your lot did get their act together from around '71, had a decent firm, came on the East End in the '74 Gloucester cup, stiil got ran on the pitch after though and your escort was attacked near the tannery, that was the best your lot have ever managed, the '80's till the present day has been a total piss take, just embarrassing, always ready with an excuse, "you've got too many, we were washing our hair, we forgot etc" There was never a join-up against Millwall, where the **** did that come from? as for the Man U game in '74-'75 the gas did come on the EE, but were told in no uncertain terms to shut the **** up when they got a bit mouthy. Never try to rewrite history when there's sharp fuckers like me around. CITD

1960maaan
Small window when the games were played in the same division at Eastville, my first Derby game was '74. I remember a large mob of City on the Tote that never moved until the Police got involved. I remember the game Vs Man Utd and the Gas were there with a special pass , but don't honestly recall them being on the EE at any time. Spurs,Arsenal (every year it seemed) West Ham, Chelsea (those boys could jump fences) even Sunderland , but not Rovers.

I can't believe that a few Rovers and City fans still harp on about "firms" and violence. It nearly ruined football than, and stains it today. On the rare occasions that City and Rovers meet, it would be great if it could be more like a Liverpool v Everton celebration rather than a nasty violent tense stand-off.
