Welcome to 1995..! Although, of course, it is merely a suggestion and not something that is likely to happen immediately, so they can remain safe in the knowledge that the 21st century is still some way away from catching up with them yet..! They would probably thatch it, the dumb arsed bog trotters.

Maybe you should pop over and break the news to them! £5m sounds about the mark; another two years' of £2m a year losses and make that £1m and not £10m. 'Orns
I'm up for a bit of social media shithousery from time to time, but the official City account has just tweeted JET's goal, tagged the Blue Few and gone with #mindthegap to 'celebrate' it being 5 years to the day we beat them in a no mark Cup competition I find that a little embarrassing, anyone else? Having seen all the Bristol - Barf sparring in the build up to that game (congrats on beating them, btw!) I really don't want to see the football side of the business going down that route Mark the 18 years since they were above us, but a 3rd rate Cup game? Not for me It's like poking a two week old dog turd on the pavement, what comeback are we expecting? 6
Southport Red
TBH my first thought was about how little football JET has played in the five years since.

I don’t see the problem & “Mind The Gap” should be used at every possible opportunity..! Southstandoriginal
The club should keep out of this sort of thing. Leave it to the fans that's our job! What will they do next, flash the Gas score on the screens when they are losing? Edited September 4, 2018 by Southstandoriginal

ExiledAjax
Bryan's only gone and slapped it on his Instagram as well. He's left off the "mind the gap" stuff but still whacked his goal up. On that - 5 years ago which of those two goalscorers would you have backed to play in the premier league first? Leave it to the fans I think just misguided on this occasion. The official mention of babestation, and their excellent response, were both very good. Welcome to Bristol for Matty Taylor was good too. Personally, I like the way the media department conduct themselves, but you're right - this was a shite fishing trip; maybe Robbored has a new job... Red Army 75
No worse than the happy days remark . They also fired a funny one back at us not so long ago . Thought it was funny. MTG

They were putting our scores up on their "scoreboard" last season in the run in if we were losing - **** Rovers, they have no class whatsoever.

WessexPest
I thought it was funny personally. For a “tinpot competition” passions were certainly running high that night.
InCyder
I don't really like all these corporate Twitter arguments but there's not going to be much going on over the international break so it's probably been posted just to get some sort of content out. I'm pretty happy If this is the only club related thing I can have a moan about.

WessexPest
The tweet thread should probably be merged into this one. For those who think it lacks class - remind yourself of some of the nonsense the Gash come out with, give your head a wobble and remember why we should be sticking the boot in at every opportunity.
David Brent
Ignore the competition, it’s City vs Rovers. Nothing wrong with it imo and I’m generally of the view that nearly all football social media accounts are largely tinpot. 1
samo II
Don’t worry, folks - we’ll get our comeuppance when they overtake us and use Ashton Gate as their training ground, as their fans keep saying... It’s not the ‘biggest’ of things for the club to do, but it is what it is! Made me laugh.
