Sturny
I reckon Cotts would take it if offered. Doubt they could afford him tho
Major Isewater
20 minutes ago, Seventeen said: Ridiculous. Not having the best of seasons but he has been shafted by those above him. When MT signed his new contract it was "We don't have to sell our best players anymore". They lied to DC about the stadium, training ground and increased budgets so that he'd turn down Leeds and DC has probably been sacked because he revealed that the club actually want to cut back on spending and his critisicing of the board rather than the poor results. I'm sure it's funny for you lot and despite this season DC is a top manager who'll go on to better things. Every manager has a poor season in them. We'll linger and just be a crap League 2 club again. Will Wael come out and speak to the fans now? Doubt it. Be fair , after managing the Gas , going on to better things won't be too hard to do .

That's a shame. Would've thought Cotterill would have had better offers. Be interesting to see what he does with a mid-table L1 budget as opposed to a top 2 budget. Loads of them kicking off at his potential appointment....why? They won't get any better than him.
JBFC II
Got to admit I do feel sorry for him. He was the only league one quality thigg at the club, got shafted by their owners time after time and he's now gone. He obviously loved the club and he did a lot for them. They'll now appoint Marcus Stewart and be in the league two relegation zone this time next year I reckon
richwwtk
Maybe they will give the job to that lad from Jordan who looked like Screech. Didn't work out for him as a player and would be a great boost for the profile of Jordanian football in the region.
BS2 Red
I hope Cotts doesn't go there, he might actually turn them around a little bit. I could see them tempting Gary Johnson.

Even the reddest of reds has to admit he did a good job in getting them back up from the National League to where they are now. He’s clearly not had much support from the frauds that are the board there. He could and should of left a few summers ago when his stock was high, he stayed loyal and its now damaged him professionally. Clearly a reasonable lower league manager, but he's been the typical Rovers manager - an over aggressive, over emotional, anti City prattler who never shuts up - so as an individual no sympathy for Dopey whatsoever. 8

Spot on Nogbad - judging by the media stories coming out of the Mem I guess he’s been looking for an out for a while but didn’t want to resign and lose out on a pay off. Neither were top flight players when wages were anything like they are today. Obviously they could do with the cash I expect, maybe worded it poorly. What I meant was I doubt they are hardly skint, and for what they will get paid there just wouldn't really be any value taking the job, and I doubt they will get any funds in January and Cotts will be hated by half of them before he even starts. I could see them tempting Gary Johnson. I can’t see Gary Johnson going to Rovers as it would be a backward step for him (seriously, not joking). At Torquay he’s taken the club on an unbeaten run and they look set for promotion, which is helping his reputation as a good lower league manager. At Rovers, he would have no money and, more importantly, no loan players from City. He’s not stupid so he must know that all the promises from Wael and co are just hot air. The manager’s job at Rovers will only appeal to someone who is out of work, not currently getting a payoff from being sacked from their previous job, and is desperate. There are plenty of those about.
