Well that's lucky that its the units marked A to H. For a moment there I thought it was the seat rows, so missing Row M again.

It speaks volumes that no-one official from their club has made any sort of statement one way or the other since this news broke in the media.

They are ****** and they know they are. Crisis mode in Wally`s office tomorrow no doubt.

I think it just goes to show how sleazy and amateurish they really are. I wouldn't trust their chelsea supporting owner to run a bath let alone run that tinpot outfit. They run roughshod over the local residents without a care in the world and seemingly flout the local planning laws yet their dwindling band of six fingered webbed feet lemmings lap it all up and never ask questions. He could pi55 in their pockets and get away with it. This is the same bloke who would sell them tomorrow if he could and is openly looking to sell the dump they currently just about own to a speculator on a promise of yet another new ground with no indication of what it will consist of or how big it will be and more importantly something they will not own. They are a complete laughing stock.

So, it’s a stand with a few bits of metal that can be bolted together, in no time at all, and just plonked on the ground. A few weeks ago they were comparing it to the Atyeo stand! The Atyeo, which is a proper stand, took months to build. It’s neatly 30 years old but obviously futuristic compared to the Rovers latest effort

But the concrete foundations need time to cure dont they?unless they will be on cut up scaffold planks!

Ah, but have they not put in the foundations, which has triggered the ‘commencement of development’ claims. According to some Sags they have done this work, but others claim they haven’t, refuting such scurrilous suggestions made by their ‘enemies’.

The truth is out there, somewhere ??

from https://www.efl.com/-more/governance/efl-rules--regulations/efl-regulations/section-5--fixtures/

Quote

35.3 Facilities for visiting supporters

35.3.1  Each Club must make provision for at least 2,000 visiting supporters at every home match or such number as represents 10% of the Club’s certified capacity, if less than 2,000. The League may, on the prior written application of a Club, suspend this Regulation or reduce the figure either for a particular League Match or for a period of time. Each Club shall, subject to any dispensations granted by the Board, make provision for at least 200 of the visiting supporters (of which not less than 100 must be seats) to be accommodated under cover. Any Club which fails to meet the requirement of 200 visiting supporters being accommodated under cover and which does not have a dispensation granted by the Board shall have such amounts as the Board shall determine (in its absolute discretion) withheld from that Club’s central distributions from the Pool Account until such time as the Club can meet the requirement.

Note the part that says "The League may, on the prior written application of a Club, suspend this Regulation"  - I wonder if they have done this or were hoping to do it after the first half dozen games.

If the league have it in their power wave some regs they might, for example, take into account exceptional circumstances that are unlucky or outside a clubs control.

Taking down existing stands before even getting planning permission for a replacement build doesn't qualify as unlucky does it? It's self inflicted chaos.

Quite.

If the old stand had been damaged in some way - for example a fire, or a bad storm (maybe blowing it away ?) then I'm pretty sure that the league, and maybe even Barnsley would look at it sympathetically. Fact is as you say, they knocked down the old one before the planning permission had been granted. They haven't got a leg to stand on.

They can be next seasons laughing stock of the EFL for a different reason now...

But it's meant to be better then the Atyeo! It's not meant to be some Meccano stand that's what the great and powerful super rich and famous Wally told the fans!

Also if it is a clip together stand I thought there was meant to be a concourse or is this just going to be a portacabin and portaloo?

Its odds on that it will be done on the cheap, so portacabins and portaloos are almost guaranteed.

IF it gets built assembled, it will be shite - as per normal.

One thing about this is that if they eventually manage to build/assemble this thing, when it comes to redeveloping the Atyeo, we can just knock it down and start building whenever SL wants. No need for any of this Planning Permission malarkey, I'm sure our friends from Horfield will be fully behind us...

Seriously though, if roles had been reversed and we had done this, imagine the outrage from their side.
