I definitely wouldn’t have been heading over there midweek with work, finances, and the fact we’ve been there plenty of times a few years back. What are the estimates for what we’d have travelled with? 200? Not expecting many more will got to Hull on a Friday night in a couple of weeks BUT we aren’t the ones who bang on and on about how supposedly amazing our away support is.

Any estimates of away support would always have various Gasheads claiming the actual figure was higher because of mythical ‘Gas in the ome end’….despite there always being plenty of space in the away end with the rest of the mouth breathing turnips. We do have a lot of London/Home Counties based fans who would probably have made the trip since we`ve not played there for a while. Rovers did try at times and had one or two chances themselves when it was still 1 - 0 but over the 90 minutes there can be no doubt the team that wanted it more got the victory. All played out on a new pitch resurfaced during the summer and it wasn't too bad a crowd for a midweek first round League cup tie although only a few number of Gas fans made the long trip over. All right it's a fair distance between places but thought they could have numbered a few more for the visit. We played well at times, showed flair and creativity and now unbeaten in 'proper' competition for something near 20 games. Didn't need a full strength team to get past these opponents but a number of familiar faces were present and correct all the same. We won't win it, never have and probably never will but the difference in hope and progress since Marcus Evans fuc, sorry, took off, is simply remarkable. We haven't had such belief in our abilities for a long long time but after the promotion there is still so much to do. Nothing further has been achieved as yet. That's all of them. Silvio Dante
Remember the “Pirates Pot” that launched a couple of weeks ago and offered the opportunity for the loyal and true to put money into the club - at just £2 a week - and have chance to win rewards based on the size of said pot. Well, it’s going well Massive.
Open End Numb Legs
......with the first draw commencing after we hit 500 members....... Sounds a bit extreme. Why don't they just ask them nicely instead?

Well, it’s going well Massive. So, they've had 250 sign-ups at £2 a piece, which means they've raised £500. Presumably half of that goes back to the draw... So raised a massive £250 to fund their academy. At an estimated annual cost of £2m, that's a whole 0.13% of their funding secured. Although, that's not even taking into account running costs of the draw itself, so they're probably running at a loss. Massive
