If there is a better deal out there for some land sale than a football club then they have to take it. Developing the Mem seems the only way, we said that months ago on here. Trouble is, rather than getting people onside, they have created bad feeling in the neighbourhood and the council by their attitude this summer. They have poked the bear. I wonder if its possible to rebuild on the mem using temporary stands if done in stages they could possibly move the pitch slightly along the way and open up more space? There is certainly the footprint at the mem to have a decent sized stadium, would require as you said moving the pitch but it would be doable. The temporary stand that they put up behind the goal, was to give away fans seats as well as disabled facilities, or else they would be fined by the league. The problem is now, that they've taken it down (as of yesterday) as it's getting in the way of the new stand. I have no idea if they plan to put it up/take it down before and after every home game to avoid getting fined, or if they're just going to take the EFL fine and have to accept it. Given that the planning meeting isn't for another month anyhow, this is absolute chaos of the highest order there. Also, the new stand will block half the away standing area as well (Like Bolton's old ground, back in the day)... Honestly couldn't make it up. I had forgotten some of those articles in the BEP, "Demanding" that it was somehow Bristol City's duty to groundshare with them, what did it have to do with us? There was much more benefit to us to let them dissolve into nothingness, as was being suggested by their board. In fact there are so many statements from their board that they would be going out of business, you have to wonder why they still exist at all.
