He sounded like a nice chap on the Radio Bristol interview, but a bit innocent in football matters. Which they seem to love, he said he wasn't going make unreasonable claims which suggests that they think Wael of (less) Fortune "WOLF" did, and because he mentioned figures and a vague plan about off pitch revenue they are mostly really impressed. There are a couple that have voiced suspicions about the timing of the interview being PB (Post Barton), and questioning the practicalities, but of course they are being shouted down. I do love the description of their ideal Manager though, he wants "a young inexperienced (cheap) man with experience (slightly more expensive), who is hungry for success (cheap) but has a promotion on his record (expensive) preferably to the Championship! Sounds realistic, the number of potential candidates must number in the ones or twos I would think. At least there was no mention of a influx of young up and coming players or staff from the Arabic world, another of "WOLFs" blue sky ideas.

We have the upmost respect for him & there will always be a seat here for him any time he wants to come" Says it all really - tolerating his violent, abusive, scumbag ways, if he is doing an exceptional job is one thing. Choosing a person like that as your "friend" & being someone you respect, is entirely different & says everything about their level of standards..! My initial thoughts were that he sound like a nice enough, albeit naive guy - but the reality is that his interview couldn't have been anymore full of empty words & unsubstantiated shite if he'd tried..! To add to the above comments about JB, you can add... Manager search - "someone not too experienced - but with experience of promotion from league 1 & possibly higher than that - but young & not experienced"...! Utterly clueless! Stadium - "FM plans are dead. We will redevelop the Mem in 3 phases - starting with the Sounth stand (which doesn't have planning & is almost fully built, as a temporary structure.! I'd like a stadium that has capacity for 18-20k, but it will probably be 16-17k. We will speak to architects & then actually look into doing things properly & maybe even actually apply for planning permission for things from now on..! No idea how we plan to pay for it! We don't have any money, so will need to see what payday loan sharks might fun the project, for a club that looses money & has no idea what our plans actually are. We need to create non match day revenue, but don't know how we will do it, or fit anything that could do into the concourses of a bodge job rebuild that we'd have to get done on the cheap. The whole interview wreaked of no plan, no idea, no money, no clue about how anything works... 3

It might be pertinent to note that there are no laws about domestic violence in Kuwait, you can only be done if you've breached a non-contact order, not for the violence itself. Additionally, "honour killings" of women by male relatives are punished by a fine, not imprisonment. Unsurprisingly, 82% of Kuwaiti women surveyed said they thought DV was a problem in their country.

I don't think JB's violent tenancies have ever been limited towards his wife.! Look up his record/history & see attacks on teammates, opposition, fellow managers, members of the public & his wife - those are just the physical abuse charges - he's very well demonstrated his verbal tendencies over the past few weeks.... A lovely "respected friend" for the club to have..!
22A
We can confirm that Manager Paul Hurst and Assistant Manager Chris Doig have left their roles at Grimsby Town Football Club. Could they be heading for the Mem? Would Grimsby want Joey in return?

Bar BS3
I'd love be an architect right now - although doubt they'd check if I told them I were..... "Yes, the best way to redevelop a ground is to knock it down & then apply for planning permission. Don't worry if the there are hold ups in getting approval, because you can just carry on & start building it anyway - there won't be any problems with that...." Now no chance of a new ground in my lifetime and the new owners can't afford to rebuild the Mem themselves. Oh dear. This video hasn't aged well (warning - contains some disturbing scenes for Bristol City supporters) "It's absolutely vital and important for this club to have a new modern stadium. If it's now a long term plan, surely it's not really fit for purpose & therefore needs different planning & design..? It's a good job this decision has come to light before they have received their planning permission & started to build the thing........ oh, wait.....! I believe and I’m not 100% on this but the Term “temporary” in reference to the stand their building doesn’t mean “limited time.” But in fact is. Do with the fact it’s demountable and can be taken apart for what ever reason and reassembled! just what I was told not sure if it’s true! 22 hours ago, Bar BS3 said: Isn't part of their planning application that their new stand is a "Temporary" structure.... yet now they say it is the 1st phase of their ground redevelopment at which they now plan to stay "permanently"...? bcfc01
I've seen them quoting some names for their new manager, but with us now looking for a new manager it means the best candidates out there will potentially be heading to AG rather than their dump.
