Then they had a spell on top, got their goal from some sloppy defending (how many times has that been said this season?) Barnsley on top for a bit after their goal, but a strong final 10 minutes from us with 2 well worked goals. 2 Quote Link to comment

Opening 10 minutes - both teams were scrappy especially us being unable to string much together going forward. 0n 12 minutes a counter from us which only leads to a corner when AW cross is too easily cut out. TB had a decent shot on 15 minutes after good work from HNM. Referee not giving many decisions, preferring to let play carry on at every opportunity. A second corner for us on 17 minutes, as we start to grow into the game, however, like our first corner there was no real threat. Good through ball from HNM which Wells was just unable to get onto. After 20 minutes neither keeper has needed to make a save. We look reasonably composed at the back. Their central defenders have won everything in the air. Williams has Barnsley's best chance so far on 23 minutes his shot is saved by DB which led to their first corner. We are far too easily exposed on 27 minutes following a quick Barnsley throw in and they score. When, on a couple of occasions, we’ve managed to get into a promising position around their box our decision-making has been poor. Epitomised by AW on 33 minutes when he played a shocking ball when in with a decent chance to set something up. DB makes another save on 38 minutes and we still haven’t forced a save from their keeper. CP sits up a nice cross which NW fails to get on the end of. The final five minutes became very open NW was just offside on 40 minutes when well placed. Then on 42 minutes after TK won yet another header and made a good pass NW flicked it to AW who finished well. On the cusp of HT MJ had a good shot saved. THEN IN ADDED TIME AW SLOTS A 2nd following great work from HNW. However, the score does not take away from a lack lustre half. HNM, TK and glimpses from TB have been the the better of our players IMO. Big second half performance needed and the next goal will be crucial. Quote Link to comment
