Davefevs
Seemed an upgrade on Fielding at the time. Commanded his box better, more decisive. But destroyed by a Catherine Wheel v Brighton.
GrahamC
Always remember his celebration after Tomlin’s winner at Fulham.

Bat Fastard
I may be wrong but was he in goal when someone scored against us from the half-way line?

The Dolman Pragmatist
My recollection is that he played for us against Sheff We’d, the club he supported, but appeared to give less than 100%, and was swiftly jettisoned by little Lee. It’s a sad state of affairs when fans can’t remember players who only played three or four seasons ago!!

Carey 6
Never thought he was as good as Fielding, managed to actually have a worse distribution accuracy than FF as well. Celebrated more when we scored though so fans preferred him.

RUSSEL85
He was pretty average, had better keepers and had much worse.
Gillies Downs Leeds
For attacking corners, I recall that he would be near as damn it on the halfway line.

ScottishRed
He was yet another one that was touted as the replacement for Frankie. As I recall he started well enough and, as mentioned above, did command his box way better than Frankie. Then it all faded away thanks to that goal against Brighton..... ashton_fan
He started off really well but was one of those keepers who was brilliant while confident but once he made an error it would usually be followed by another. Also tended to try and blame others when he made a mistake - I remember this happening at Wolves where he let in a late soft goal which he should have gathered then tried to blame Wilbraham, he was close to getting punched in that moment. Davefevs
@Clevedon Redwe went to that game Joe Bryan in midfield, a skinny Dominic Iorfa at RB for Wolves. Wagstaff started his first game in ages from memory.

Good summary. If you look at his whole career he’s basically a L1 keeper, who had a run in our side because Frankie got injured but his form was really erratic, we have definitely had worse but not good enough for us longer term.

It was suggested that, at the moment Sidwell shot, RO'D was not watching the game, but, rather, was looking up at the sky at the spectacular firework display going off outside the stadium.
