Never to the dark side
Walking up Winterstoke Road towards Parson Street on Saturday just gone, traffic seem to be lighter than normal and flowing fairly freely. Considering the dark nights are now here you would expect traffic being slower than after day light games Anyone notice any different or was it just me?
weepywall
Well I thought looking at the amount of empty seats inside AG on Saturday that it was the lowest actual crowd for a Saturday game this season so I suppose that would have a knock on effect on the traffic. sticks 1969
Don’t think under the stadium is as busy pre match as it used to be
Port Said Red
I must admit that I walked back up Winterstoke rd to my car and where I crossed the road, and was surprised that there were no cars coming down the road at all.
RedDwarf
I normally drive that way but took the train Saturday. Must say the train into Bristol was pretty packed but that’s probably because there’s too few carriages !

People on the AG2 commented how quickly we got back to Bris, the traffic was certainly lighter
Davefevs
I drove out of Winterstoke Road from Wickes Car Park really quickly on Saturday evening. As soon as I hit Cumberland Basin, the probs started. The slip road to the Portway was queued back, and then approaching Anchor Road was a nightmare. I eventually went up Whiteladies Road, Henleaze, Southmead, Filton…back to Bromley Heath. Took over an hour. “Town” appeared gridlocked.
Dredd
Not sure there was 18k there Saturday as per the official attendance, lots of gaps in the Dolman and SS. Might have been why traffic was lighter, was noticeably quieter in the concourse too

Possibly because us and Rovers were at home not only on the same day but at the same kick off time- which is basically, I don't ever remember that!? Probably didn't help. ralphindevon
It was the first time since Covid that I’ve had a quiet journey up, Very few holiday makers at last. However the journey back was incredibly busy, Christmas shoppers I presume. Having said that, the Park & Ride was very quick back to Portway. Can easily walk up and get a drink with very little queuing before games.

Without going over old ground I think the price of drink now is a major factor why it’s quieter

No,our form is something to do with it,plus tonight it's on Sky, and being cold, people staying home watch it in the warmth of they're home,
