054123
Always had a soft spot for them but they certainly are struggling this year. A possible trip to Goodison next year?

RedRock
Watched their last game and thought they looked a Premier League version of us. Think they are in serious trouble. Warriors are needed in the relegation mix, with a togetherness that makes the team better than the sum of its parts. Miles off.
Redstart
Squad looks disjointed and generally shite. That young lad Gordon looks like he could really go on to better things, can't see Everton keeping hold of him much longer.
Super
Good. A joke of a football club. 1 1
RUSSEL85
They have had good managers there in recent years, they are not all bad! Something inherently wrong with that club
TV Tom
A bit of excitement for the fans this season for a change instead of seemingly endless season after season of never threatening the top or bottom six
Ska Junkie
That was a pathetic performance by Everton, really poor.
B1ackbird
Boo effing hoo, they even allowed us into some of their pubs when we beat Liverpool.

Taylor10
Would love a trip to Goodison next season but for as poor as they were tonight, I can’t see them going down. I think they have too much fire power in comparison to the other teams around them.

They’re deep in the brown stuff Lampard was a crazy choice for them in the position they are in, maybe if they brought him in the summer to work with the players etc etc but half way through when struggling he has zero experience, a massive gamble which so far is not paying off, however some poor teams below them and Leeds not far away so will be close
Slacker
Absolutely brilliant. Use to like Frank but lost all respect for him when he hired Mr Loophole to get him off of a driving charge.Hope he takes them down.

All matches against the top six or teams that are bang in form e.g. Newcastle.
pillred
Am I right in thinking they are the only club never to have played outside the top flight?

No, they have been relegated twice. I’m not sure where that myth comes from. Maybe they have spent the longest time of all in the first division. They’ve certainly been relegated, not since the 50s however. 1
P'head Red
If they do come down it will be another club "too big for the championship" and one that "deserves to be in the premier league" Ala villa and leeds.

Don't think there is a club that has never been relegated from the top flight, technically it would be Arsenal as they were Woolwich Arsenal when relegated, Arsenal have been in the top flight since 1919 tho !

Much bigger club than Villa and Leeds. they are in Freefall. I too have a big soft spot for Everton and have been to Goodison on many occasions when a youngster with my late father who went to University in Liverpool in his younger days.
Show Me The Money!
Everton are my second team so to speak and they very much feel like they are the Bristol City of the prem in that they have a very rich owner who’s invested a lot of money in the club with regards to players but invested badly and are now suffering the consequences
cityloyal473
I didn’t realise what trouble they were in until I checked the table. Be worth having a cheeky bet on them dropping - they seem lost and devoid of any fight.

Not sure but Arsenal have been in the top flight since 1913 and Everton since 1954 after they’d spent 3 seasons in the old Division 2. In their history they’ve been in the top flight for 118 years but not continuously. https://www.myfootballfacts.com/england_footy/football-league/seasons-in-top-flight/ Edited March 8, 2022 by Robbored
