Was Araoye one of the young lads with the first team in pre season? Didn't realise he was u18!

Yes, unofficial records show he was 17 in May.

Just asked BT if he can update the OS.  Said he will.

9 first year scholars started today!!!  Future is bright!

The future is indeed bright. A first team built from a majority of academy lads in years to come would be a proud sight to see!

You can see, whatever our opinion on individual players, why certain players have been allowed to move on…they are under pressure for their places from those in younger groups.

Not sure who said it, might’ve been Brian or Gary Owers but along the lines of - stop looking about whose place your after, watch the players after your place.  Very true by the seems of things.

What was the name of that young lad who played up top for the 23s once last season? Yeboh or something? Think he was only 15?

Was it Ap sion that's meant to be very very quick? Who was the other Guernsey lad?

Ap Sion has been age group Channel Island sprint Champion all through his school years. He's also won High Jump and long jump competitions. Ben Acey has a reputation of being even better than Scott, a year or so behind him. Worryingly (considering Scott's yellow card total) he is supposed to be more aggressive in his approach. :shocking:

Colin Lee was a City youth who moved on. I saw him during 3 day week in an FA Youth cup game for City (skived off work in West St) but can't remember opponents.

Colin had two brothers Franny ( No not than one) and Mike. Played alongside both but not at the same time as they couldn't be in the same room together without a major row.

Franny had it all played for Torbay and Devon schoolboys but was a loose cannon always in trouble and that's how his life continued.

Was a year older than Colin with more talent. Unfortunately he died 5 years ago.
