Can't wait for AS to be back challenging the current occupants of the starting places.

Genuine competition,  amongst some real quality.

Not sure why it needed a thread - but will be awesome when we have hid dynamic to add to the team aswell.

The first sign of us having a squad capable of challenging eachother for positions, and people want to sell off our best assets.

That’s always been the case. City have made millions from player sales in the last few years.

Its a double edged sword tho. SL expects the manager to build a squad capable of promotion to the PL but at the same time expecting him to sell his better players………..:dunno: Nige’s hands are tied and is able only to recruit OOC players.

We’ve previously said we’d take a points deduction over selling our best players, could you imagine finishing in the play offs and getting a points deduction taking us out of them

Semenyo is a genuine £12-15m striker at this level. We can't exactly go out an buy one of those so let's enjoy the one we have. It's brilliant that we are doing so well without him, think how well we can do when we add that £12-15m striker to our matchday squad!

My alternative take on finances if we are close to the limit on FFP.... stay around the play-off places and get increased crowds through the gate, spending increasing amounts of matchday revenue. Also helpful if we put out a side to beat Wycombe on Tuesday as each round is extra income. If we make the third round, a beatable Prem team at home please for potential TV coverage. Someone like an Everton please.

Feel free to move on Conway is more than capable!

Ta for the money

Proper weird post this. It’s great to have some depth in our relatively small squad but a fully fit Semenyo walks into this team!

I thought that, according to you, this was already sorted.

I may be mistaken, but, if I recall correctly, you 'revealed' a week or so ago that Semenyo was 'definitely off', his injury whilst playing for Ghana was faked, his alleged 'injury' was supported by a duplicitous Ghana team medical spokesman in cahoots with a fraudulent local journalist and he was merely being wrapped up in cotton 'wall' before leaving for a princely sum this transfer window.

I guess we shall find out during the next few weeks whether your fanciful story was true....

Can't wait for Semenyo to come back. He adds another dimension to our attack. Think we'd maybe have added a 3rd or 4th if he plays today. His athleticism is something the other attackers do not have.

Conway has been great, but there will come a time when he has a dip and that is when you need the rest to step up.
