And with an OT loss to the Seahawks the reigning Superbowl champions Rams finish the season with a 5-12 record. Quite some comedown. Meanwhile the race to get on the playoff bus has left a few others behind too. It's that time of year; the real football starts now!

That was an exciting and tense last weekend of the regular season. Dolphins sneaking in ahead of Patriots and Steelers. Seahawks edging in ahead of Lions and Packers. Ridiculous decision to have the Packers v Lions game later than the Seahawks v Rams game, though.

Did anyone see that last Cowboys snap from Elliott to Dak wtf?

Isn't that 3 out of 4 same teams as last year in the last 4, not sure that's happened recently?

Chiefs at 5 in a row in this round, no team has ever done 4.

It's the arrowhead invitational now(as nick Wright calls it)

Both Conference games highlighted just how raw an edge football can have. Watching the Niners was like watching your pet dog die - just about everything that could go bad did. It was not their night.

And the late hit on Mahomes right at the end that put the Chiefs in field goal range was a classic Bengal bungle. Linebacker Joseph Ossai sat on the bench and his world caved in - he'd just thrown a year's worth of the team's sweat and tears in the bin. But that's football...

Superbowl LVII looks like being a genuine classic and I'm ordering the party-size pizza now!

Definitely a late hit on Mahomes despite the Bengals fans best attempts to blame it all on the zebras.. Going to be a blood bath in the Superbowl with how hard both teams play..

Mahomes certainly made the most of it, but definitely a penalty. You just can't push somebody once they're out of bounds* - such a brain-dead thing to do.

*Unless it's a Jets player then you can do whatever you want to them. Bitter, me?

The last football, SB XXXVI call by Madden and Summerall, they made the game for me in the 80's, fantastic commentary.

I was devastated when C4 decided to call SB XXI themselves, John Smith, Shula and?, and not use Madden and Summerall but not as devastated as  when C4 decided to use the Vicious Boys to present the show?
