BCFCGav
Yea always a fun derby to watch. Two nice Real goals and some fiery moments too - could boil over later. Some Atleti fans have been racially abusing Vini Jr. tonight and of late. Hoping he scores and dances in front of them. Top young player being subjected to vile nonsense. 22A
I believe that time wise, Spain is an hour ahead of UK. Looking at some of their televised evening games, it must be nearly midnight when the fans get out of the ground. Is it a cunning ploy to deter away fans and fill the ground with your own? There is absolutely no culture of away support in Spanish football at all. Most games are watched by almost exclusively home support only, plus tourists at the Barca, Real Madrid games.

Spain used to be in the same time zone as UK, Ireland and Portugal. But the when Franco won the civil war, Hitler persuaded Franco to change to the same time zone as Germany. That's one of the reasons why Spaniards have their evening meals starting 9.00/10.00 pm. Hence the very late finishes for evening matches. There is a possibility that they will change back with one of the reasons that children are not getting enough sleep affecting their school education. I'd always assumed it was partly to do with the heat.
ScottishRed
It is as @cidered abroad says got a lot to do when the Spanish eat in the evening along with their traditional siesta which is not observed that widely nowadays. Curiously: In a league Derby basically no away fans go But in the champions , everyone wants to. Even usual programes (eg the voice, soaps - start at 2200)

The turtle
You also have to consider , La liga only announce , date and ko time two weeks before (seria a too), lovely isn't it. They really don't care about fans attending games.
