Akira
As it's been said before, prem teams under 21s shouldn't be allowed anywhere near this competition. 9

Rocking Red Cyril
A total disgrace to the football system in this country
Major Isewater
Total disrespect for any club out of the top six.The competition is a Mickey Mouse trophy even though it gives lower league clubs a chance of a day out at Wembley and a bit of silverware. The league is a club’s bread and butter. I don’t believe that Man City couldn’t put out a side and even if they could they shouldn’t be anywhere near the competition.
22A
Man C's game v Derby was also called off "Due to International calls". Remember the Texaco Cup from nearly 50 years ago? Man C fielded a weakened team for one match against the mighty Ayr United. They were kicked out of the competition and fined not by the FA, nor the League, but by Texaco. "By not playing your strongest team, you have devalued our competition and insulted us" 4
Lanterne Rouge
I wonder if the same rules would have applied if Grimsby hadn`t been able to field a side?
Midred
Why are premier league clubs allowed in EFL competition (Apart from giving deserving efl clubs the chance to knock out the entitled pl clubs!)
RoystonFoote'snephew
This is ridiculous. It used to be the case that the league took precedent so what the hell is the EFL doing allowing this farago.
