I know he’s not played a lot this season, but he just goes about his job with no fuss or thrills.

A mix of RCB3 or RWB, he’s come in and done a decent job in each game…without playing at his best position - RB.

Provides a bit of physicality too.

No super-star, but showing the potential to be a reasonable, cheap signing, from Lg2, capable of being a squad player in the Championship at this early stage of his development.  Let’s not forget he had two long term hamstring injuries last season, so almost like it’s his first real season.

Well done George.

Really like this lad and think he will get better and better. We’ve looked a better team when he is in it

Not going “large” here, but maybe some are starting to see that recruiting from Lg2 and Lg1 with little to no money is hard, and that couple that with hard work on the training ground, can help us recover from a serious mess.

Recruitment isn’t just Nige, it’s a team and it’s a process…hopefully with Tins it’s an improving team and process.

Would've hooked him at half-time against Millwall on Thursday but credit to him, he showed some real character to stick at it and was excellent second half. Sounds like he was today too.

He wasn’t that poor 1st half on Thursday, just that Burey skinned him once (then skinned Vyner which amplifies Burey’s threat), other than that he did ok.

Hence why he not been playing much this is where as a club we have got better at managing players considering he's come into the first team quicker than expected, George is looking like a really good signing and can only see him improving. His back ground can also be helping him massively ie Manchester utd.

He was that bad IMO. Got done more than once and ended up refusing to engage his man because he was scared of getting beaten. Looked a different player in the second half.

Spot on. I thought it was noticeable back in the summer how he’d bulked up and came back looking up to the physical challenge of the Championship. He’s been unlucky not have had a chance at RWB before, because he has the attributes to do a decent job there and certainly offers more than Sykes. I think he could do the same job on the left or even in midfield if required. You can see the education he’s had at Man Utd and will only get better IMO.

Is that not smart game management to recognise an opponents strengths early and adjust your defending style to nullify the threat in a different way? The player he was against got hooked midway through the second half didn't he? That's about as big a win a fullback can have...

Yes if it’s part of the game plan, but not if it’s because you’re scared of engaging the player. And it looked a lot more like the latter.

Not trying to get at him, he had a great 45 minutes after that and like you said helped get their winger subbed.

He's doing alright for a former striker who changed to a defensive role and is managing to improve us with both defending and attacking.

Wing back is a very physically tough position and doing ok. So far, so good.

Why the puzzled icons? He was a striker in his younger days at Man U and at sometime there or after going to Carlisle, he moved to right back. Now we are playing him as a Right Wing Back and while still learning, he is doing well at both ends of the pitch. He's not the quickest as the Millwall player showed us but as he improves positional play, he'll be able to cope better.

Also quite happy to cut back onto his left foot and cross with that too.  Left foot shot today also!
