Keeps it simple to allow us to get the best out of Scott. Even better with Naismith in that position today. You work your nads off all game, cutting off angles, shielding, making easy (or seemingly easy) passes and generally working so other players can play. A handful and I mean a handful of elite ones aside- Makelele, Busquets, Kante and probably a few more assorted ones. Not many do though! Being a defensive midfielder is probably the most un-appreciated position in the football pantheon. But, what he lacks in speed, you can see James has in football sense and passing ability. After a confidence crisis led him into some very poor performances, I thought he was excellent on Saturday.
