Had a quiet end to the evening so mucked around with some words and ended up with this..

Very amateur songwriting inspiration..to the tune of Queen’s Crazy little thing called love

Cam Pring, we love
You just, can't handle him
Cam Pring, we love
When you, fly down the wing
You’re like Messi
‘Mazing Cameron Pring we love

The last line needs a bit of work but the rest seems half decent (to me!)

  • The title was changed to Song for Cam Pring

The old ones are the best “he’s here, he’s there he’s every bloody where, Cammy Pring, Cammy Pring”

We don’t hear the simple classic chants anymore…………….:disapointed2se:

Todays fans seem to want over complicate chants these days.

Judging by our songs we are blessed with multiple wingers.

Anyway I like the Mighty Quinn suggestion (sorry to the OP who suggested it, I can't remember who it was.

"If he goes out, if he goes in, there ain't no stopping the mighty Pring."

Cam Pring-a-ling, Cam Pring-a-ling, Nige loves to play Cam Pring-a-ling

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

I mean it doesn't matter what we say here as im yet to see a song for a player that has started on OTIB haha but I'll chuck "Travis - Sing" in there as its probably the easiest song to remember

We've got Cam Pring, pring, pring, pring, pring, pring
For the love you bring won't mean a thing
Unless you've got Pring, pring, pring

Elton John's "Song for Guy".

Two minutes of tuneful humming followed by "Cam, Cam-e-ron Pring.  Oh oh Cam, Cam-e-ron Pring" followed by another minute of tuneful humming.

For our younger listeners:

I reckon to Voulez Vouz (ABBA)

Cameron Pring
Aha
Running down the wing
Aha
Hear the city sing
Aha
He is city through and through

Quite like this one

I posted this song in the other Cameron Pring thread on Saturday which is sung to the Robin Hood tune/similar to the old Ryan Giggs one:

Cameron Pring, Cameron Pring running down the wing. Cameron Pring Cameron Pring running down the wing. Feared by the Gas/Welsh, loved by the reds, Cameron Pring, Cameron Pring, Cameron Pring.

Pring rhyming with wing makes it a winner?!

Thinking about it, I'd prefer:

"Wild Pring! You make my heart sing!" (add other verses you poets)

He really does make everything groovy.

Look lads come on now.

WE all know it's just gonna be;

He's one of our own
He's one of our own
Cameron Pring
He's one of our own

So why waste threads on fancy chants that never happen :)

We signed him from Cheltenham.

Also anyone know why he has dropped the "Moir" from his name. His full name is Moir-Pring.

I thinks that will work well with the crowd.
I’ll give it a go on Saturday (or by the radio tonight)

If your judging OTIB by things that have actually progressed to happen within the club then we should probably sacked ?.

Good tune, though I lack faith that we will be able to do a pause. second line "running down the wing won't mean a thing".

Cam Pring, you make the ball sing

You keep everything…moving

Cam Pring

sounds a bit weird. Needs to be a bit faster.

Doesn't that depend on how quickly you read it? I scanned it and it seemed a bit quick to me ?

As a youth product yes, but he still came through our academy, so I am pretty sure he is regarded as one of ours, and an academy product, not a player we purchased from Cheltenham.

Okay, you could maybe elongate the last line to Cameron Pring?

Yes that’ll work.

cam Pring you make the ball sing

you can do everything…cam Pring ?

"Come all without, come all within. You'll not see nothing like the mighty Quinn."

Newcastle fans used to sing this about Micky Quinn because

1. He scored four goals on his debut.

2. He was indeed mighty fat.

Add in the fact that he was born in Southmead hospital definitely makes him ‘one of our own’?
