freezer Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Not looking for a row or deep discussion, just wondering if City or other visiting teams still do this before games? Quote

City do I think. And some other teams still do. I think it's good to see it still down 1 1 Quote
italian dave Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 City don’t. Some other teams do. And City players applaud when they do. 1 Quote
Silvio Dante Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 City have stopped doing it, as have most teams unless it’s for a specific event/day of action. IIRC a team did it at Ashton recently (I think Watford) - no bad reaction to it and rightly so. Quote

freezer Posted January 22, 2023 Author Posted January 22, 2023 Thanks for your replies. @Rocking Red Cyril it obviously doesn't have much impact on you or you need to finish your pint or pie sooner and watch the kick off 1 Quote

So pint any time not my thing anymore. 1 Quote

Like City they lose a lot but its still an entertaining and enjoyable experience. 55 minutes ago, Rocking Red Cyril said: Don't go near the pies at Ashton gate and been sober for four and half years. pl00peh91 Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Weirdly enough the first time I’d thought about this for ages was on Saturday. I remember kick off was taken but it was pulled back because the ref wanted to give the teams the opportunity to take the knee. Neither did and everyone just clapped for five seconds before kick off was re-taken. Thought at the time it was funny for the kick off to be brought back for them to stand around like that Quote
Barkhamred Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Think it must have been the Birmingham match then when some of the opposition knelt and others did not (it was one of the last two matches) Quote
