Great choice for me. Young kids look up to him (Conway/Scott vids), sets an example with his work ethic and an international to boot. Andi is one of my favourite city players in recent years. Well deserved

Hard to have an opinion on this without knowing the players personally.  So many pros, ex pros and managers say that the choice of captain on the pitch isn’t that important. The main role is off the pitch link between players and manager.  No idea if he’s the right choice for that but have to assume he is as Pearson knows personalities better than most

Press release says he's been elected by his teammates. Now obviously we don't know who was on the ballot paper (as it were), but it's being presented as a team decision rather than Pearson's appointment.

Not surprised considering it is more an off field role like I said.

Pearson said in his pre Preston presser that he'd leave the players to pick the next captain themselves.

Nige said recently that the captaincy would be decided by the players. I wonder how many other managers do the same?
