hinsleburg
Got some bollocks on him this kid, few key headers when he knew he was going to be clattered. Doesn't shirk a tackle nor does he hide from the ball. Been really impressed since we signed him, injuries haven't helped him but felt he's consistently delivered 7/10 performances. Today was definitely a big game for him, pushed his game to the next level against tough opposition. Very good in the air considering his height. Always rated this signing and is exactly the sort of gamble we should be making in the transfer market, low risk high reward.

So important, underrated and a sign of a true defender. Excellent work by him
Spike
The thing that gets me is that Kane will be having to compete with Tanner when he's back and at this point unless he gets a chance here and there and really does something special I don't see him getting Tanners spot at all.

The step up from league two to championship is immense, and it’s taken Tanner a while to make that step up , also from a fitness perspective. Tanner has been used as a stick to beat Pearson with from a recruitment drive. Wilson will come good, sometimes we’ve got to accept a player will take time to adapt to a higher level. As for Pring many comments on his fitness levels which he’s clearly worked on, think with Pring & Atkinson, Pearson believes they can offer more and maybe a reason for the tough love?

This isn't a "Aren't Man U wonderful" statement but one should never forget that their choice of youngsters for their Academy hasn't changed much since the time of Sir Matt Busby. They start with quality and improve it. Many are never going to make it at Man U like the boys of '92 but their so called failures still have a lot of talent. Tanner is following Brownhill at Bristol City.
SecretSam
Plus he likes a tackle. Really pleased for the lad.
ralphindevon
I’ve not read through everything on here since the game but I feel not enough is being said about Pring’s assist! From where I was sat I thought it would already have its own thread it was so good.
bcfc01
Noticeable that Sykes was never too far away from Tanner and gave him plenty of outlets during the game. Those two are making a good partnership.
