Two penalties for a side in a game- when did we last get it?

Wonder when it last happened for us.

Not for us, oh no we got 1 in 15 or 16 months ie the gap between Sunderland at home and Coventry away, maybe a bit longer.

Nottingham Forest, not wildly creative albeit competitive at home and with some decent players two. In one game. At home.

For us, our last two at home were:

Hull Home 25th February 2023

Norwich Home 31st October 2020

Really have to wonder if all teams are equal, equally treated...or equitably anyway.

  • The title was changed to Two penalties for a side in a game- when did we last get it?

What we don’t seem to get are the ridiculously soft penalties that do get awarded against us. Saturday’s penalty for Rotherham was a prime example as Hugill flung himself to the ground under no appreciable contact. Ours are only awarded if a player is rugby tackled in the penalty area but even that isn’t a given…

Their second shout for a penalty looked the most obvious all of them on the day, really made me wonder if the ref realised how soft the one he gave was.

Definitely not treated equally, Sykes 4 game ban for kicking out Man City defender yellow card last night for what looked worse , there’s your answer right there

Thanks. Suppose it is a rare, occurrence- we could have had 2 Saturday, 2 v Watford in November. Hope we get a fair few more anyway.

I do feel like a stuck record, but Hull really set the tone for the season. Ridiculous decision goes against us, while rugby tackles on our players ignored.
But we did get an apology letter , so there's that.
