New approach to timekeeping, EFL refs

Whatever happened to the kicking the ball away after a foul, could this be extended to throwing the ball away or running off after picking said ball up? The implementation of this rule, unless you're a city player, is patchy at best..

Players often got booked if they kicked the ball away. 

Yet weren't booked for standing in front of the ball it seems.

Think we’re gonna be in for longer games this season as well with the changes to stoppages rules being like it was in the World Cup. One of my close pals is Clevedon manager, and they had 9 minutes added on at the end of their first game of the season yesterday for very minimal stoppages
