I've googled it and can only find Shaun Wade, who I'm not thinking of and Brooke Aspin from the women's team, who I'm also not thinking of. It wasn't Kane - I remember him joining Liverpool but he isn't who I was thinking of. It could be it was Maddox and the name hasn't jogged my memory as I thought it was or maybe there was someone else.
