Wells is away, defender might get across as he's setting himself to shoot, but that's another 15 yards+ down the pitch from that point.

Naughton has made no attempt at the ball and it wasn't as if he's just pulled Wells back or tripped his heels either.

Red cards have been given for softer tackles than that, further from the goal under the same reasoning with a similar 'covering defender'.

Yea I was pretty critical of him a year ago. I thought he was a bog standard L1 player in the wrong league but fair play he has proved me wrong. Could improve his crossingm
